Selected interviews with other writers, poets, and translators

By its nature writing calls for extended solitude. This makes the chance to talk with other writers about their work, and the labyrinths of writing itself, especially valuable. How do they see their readership? Which writers have most influenced their work? How have they handled, say, editing a magazine, teaching, or serving as poet laureate? Switching genres? How do they cope with digital distractions? May you find their answers as fascinating and illuminating as I have. In 2022 look for a Q & A on the fourth Monday of the month.

UPDATE: The end of March 2022 marks the 16th anniversary of this blog, after which point, until further notice, I will be posting approximately two Mondays a month. The Q & A with another writer will continue on the fourth Monday, however every other month.
